What Is Freedom Classroom?

  • An essay contest for academy students
  • A ten day trip to the Washington, D.C. area to explore the history of religious freedom, and its advocacy in the halls of Congress and the Supreme Court
  • Integrates principles of liberty of conscience and religion and the separation of church and state into Adventist Academy history, government and Bible classes
  • Explores how biblical values impact divisive contemporary issues
  • Prepares students for leadership in both public life and the church

 

Freedom Classroom 2013

The deadline for registration for Freedom Classroom 2013 is March 1st. It is fast approaching! Interested students are encouraged to apply now, as space is limited to twelve students!

The trip is open to Seventh day Adventist students who are competing their junior or senior year of high school. The trip will take place from June 11 to 19, and will cost approximately $1,200, inclusive of air fare, ground transportation, lodging, and two meals daily. [cost will depend on actual air fare.]

Students are sought with demonstrated academic achievement, and an interest in government, history, theology and of course, religious freedom.
