Autonomy of Religious Institutions
Religious freedom is not only an individual right, but a right that pertains to religious communities. These associational rights often enjoy legislative or judicially created exemptions that reflect respect for the autonomy of religious bodies, and the constitutional principle of the separation of church and state.
The Church State Council vigorously defends the autonomy of religious institutions in the courts and in monitoring legislative activity throughout its five state region, and providing local support for legislative issues in Congress.
Religious institutions faced with either legislative or legal challenges to their religious practices or autonomy may want to take advantage of our expertise in this area.
