Church State Council Fellows
Fellowship Program
What is the Church State Council Fellowship Program?
The CSC Fellowship is a one year program sponsored by the Church State Council that mentors a select number of college-aged young adults to become leaders in religious freedom and social justice, as understood from a biblical and Seventh-day Adventist perspective. Fellows gain exposure to how they can contribute to preserving freedom of conscience under the United States Constitution and connect this freedom to the prophetic mission of the church.
The Fellowship is led by experts who discuss the prophetic, theological, social, political, and moral values associated with the issues confronting American society today. Fellows also have the opportunity to meet with politicians, as available, and visit historical sites.
When does Church State Council Fellowship take place?
The Fellowship begins in-person in Roseville, California in June. Fellows attend in-person classes, visit with lawmakers at the California state capitol, network with church and political leaders, and participate in team-building activities. After the Roseville module, Fellows return home and attend quarterly virtual seminars via video conference during the school year.
For Fellows who satisfactorily complete the quarterly seminars, the Fellowship reconvenes in Washington, D.C. the following June, for a final module of visits to historical sites, visits with lawmakers, networking, and classroom instruction.
The Church State Council is a religious liberty ministry of the Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
